The Cirencester Judo Club has been in existence since 1974 and we have approximately 30 members-both seniors and juniors. The Club is held on a Wednesday evening at the Cotswold Leisure Centre which is very accessible and has plenty of parking. The class runs from 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm, but the younger, lower grade judoka go off the mat at 8 pm. Please ensure you come in to the hall to collect them as we do not like them leaving the hall unaccompanied.

Cirencester Judo Club is a member of the British Judo Association (club number 2180). Our club’s staff are all trained and registered with the BJA and are (CRB) police checked. Our Club follows BJA rulings regarding child protection and the BJA membership means that insurance is in place. Belonging to the BJA also gives our members the opportunity to participate in both local and national competitions and the opportunity also exists for the skilled and ambitious members to reach international level if they so wish.

Judo is a relatively inexpensive sport. We have always run the club on a voluntary, non profit making basis, in fact to a pocket money level to all our junior members whilst financing all the club requirements. Members come from all walks of life and assistance may be given to any member who is unable to afford a judogi as we believe that no one should be turned away from judo due to lack of funds.
